Singapore Slingers completes international roster spots with twin signing

The Singapore Slingers has completed their international roster spots for the 2015-2016 season with the signing of big man, Justin Howard and guard-forward, Xavier Alexander.

The 33 year old and 6’11 Justin Howard, who was a replacement to the injured Kyle Jeffers midway through the season, averaged 13.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in 12 games last season.

During the Slingers off-season, Justin played for Al Hala Basketball Club in the Bahrain Premier League.

Justin Howard will be defensive anchor in the paint and also a mentor to the Slingers’ budding big man Delvin Goh.

He will be joined by newcomer Xavier Alexander who hails from the NBA D-League.

The 6’6 Xavier Alexander has 4 years of professional experience under his belt with the Tulsa 66ers and Siarka Tarnobrzeg of Poland. Most recently, he played for the Oklahoma City Blues, the D-League extension team of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Xavier averaged 6.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists with OKC Blues.

With the 2 international rosters spots filled, the Slingers are still looking to complete the rest of their roster.
