The Singapore Slingers ended their regular season on Sunday, 24th January 2010, with a win over perennial cellar dwellers Thailand Tigers to be the best AWAY team in the ABL for Season 1.
However, many would argue that the Tigers did not have Piyapong Piroon for the game as the Captain of the Tigers was injured, whilst import Ikeena was also forced out after an awkward fall. But there is no denying that the Slingers had also lost Marcus Ng and Kyle Jeffers after the duo were fouled out.
In this game, the local boys had shown that they are not on the roster solely to make up the numbers but rather, they can make the step up of the notch. It was a game where Pathman gets 10 points – replacing KJ – while Hong Wei Jian, Steven Khoo and Michael Wong were also on the scoresheet.
As the Playoff game against Satria Muda looms, the Slingers would do well with such a performance, winning 92-80 away from home – their 3rd successive away game.
In the meanwhile, we have tickets to give out for the Slingers 1st Playoff game on 31st January 2010 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium (Tip-off at 4pm).
Qn: The Singapore Slingers’ last home game was against the Thailand Tigers. How many points did Michael LeBlanc score over the 4 Quarters?
